  • Deadline: June 1
  • Must be a full time undergraduate at accredited four year college/university or full time student at a two year college enrolled in a program leading to an academic degree
  • Must be majoring either in science or engineering and have demonstrated outstanding interest and skill in any one of the arts
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to serving the community or other tribal nations

Al Qoyawayma Award for Excellence in Arts and Science
  • Deadline: June 1
  • the applicant must have applied for the A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship Program and have met the following requirements: a full-time student at the undergraduate or graduate level, a member of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society, at least one-quarter Indian, in financial need, and pursuing a double major in science or engineering and a degree in the arts. Evidence of the student's excellence in art and engineering is take from the A.T. Anderson Memorial Scholarship Program application.

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium

 

  • Deadline: February 9

American Chemical Society Scholars Program

American Indian Science and Engineering Society: Columbia River Chapter Scholarship

  • Deadline: October 27
  • Must be a high school senior anticipating successful graduation in June or of the year application is submitted

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Scholarship for Minorities
  • Deadline: June 1
  • Must be a declared accounting major (this must be indicated on your transcript) with an overall and accounting grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.3
  • Have satisfactorily completed at least 30 semester hours, or 45 quarter hours, or equivalent college work, including at least six semester hours (or equivalent) in accounting

American Institute of Chemical Engineers Minority Scholarship

American Legacy Scholarship

 

  • Deadline: April 15
  • Child/Children, or legally adopted child/children, of active duty United States military and Guard, and Reserve personnel who were federalized and died on active duty on or after September 11, 2001.
  • Must be a high school senior or high school graduate to apply for the scholarship
  • Scholarship is for undergraduate study at a U.S. school of higher education

Be An Actuary: Actuarial Scholarship for Minorities

 

  • Deadline: January 17
  • Be a U.S. citizen or have a permanent resident visa
  • Must have taken either the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the ACT Assessment
  • Be admitted to a college or university offering either a program in actuarial science or courses that will serve to prepare the student for an actuarial career
Bering Straits Foundation
  • Deadline: June 30 (for Fall quarter)
  • Enrolled to Bering Straits Native Corporation or a lineal descendant defined as the natural or adopted child of a person enrolled to the Bering Straits Native Corporation.
  • Accepted into an accredited college, university or vocational school with a letter of acceptance included with this application.
  • High school graduate with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or  equivalent, if first time freshman, or earned a GED.

Bristol Bay Native Corporation

Calista Scholarship Fund
  • Deadline: June 30 of each year
  • Must be accepted to an accredited school
  • Must be an Alaska Native shareholder or a lineal descendant of an Alaska Native shareholder with ties to the Calista region. (lineal descendants must send their birth certificate or other documentation substantiating their relationship to a shareholder)
  • Must be a high school graduate or have earned a G.E.D. and be in good academic standing and have at least a 2.0 grade point average. Students must submit transcripts from past academic work to verify grade point average.
Catching the Dream Scholarship
  • Deadline: April 15
  • Must be 1/4 or more degree American Indian, and be enrolled member of a U.S. tribe
  • Must attend an accredited college or university on a full-time basis
  • Have a high ACT and/or a high ACT/SAT scores
Central Council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska
  • All persons who are descendants of persons who are/were members under the base roll and/or supplemental membership rolls are eligible for membership as a Tlingit and/or Haida Indian
  • A verified IRA Council enrollment number, CCTHITA enrollment card, or written verification from the Office of Enrollment is required as proof of enrollment before any consideration of funding will be given
  • Failure to enroll may hold the file pending before awarding is considered
  • The burden of tribal membership proof rests solely upon the applicant to establish their eligibility for enrollment

Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe
  • Deadline: June 15
  • Submit a fully completed Higher Education Scholarship application form. This form which is in triplicate should be submitted in whole. Faxed or reproduced copies will not be accepted.
  • Submit a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) certifying the applicant is a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. (New applicants only)
  • Submit a Letter of Acceptance from an eligible institution. (New students, transfers and previously suspended students only)
Chickasaw Nation Foundation Scholarships
  • Deadline: March 2
  • Music (vocal, Native American, composition, music education or any other related field as approved by the Chickasaw Foundation Board of Trustees)
  • Full-time Chickasaw students
  • Undergraduate students at any two- or four-year college or university
Chief Manuelito Scholarship
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • High school graduate
  • Completed the required Navajo Language and Navajo Government courses prior to high school graduation date
Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Higher Education Grant
  • Deadline: March 15
  • Submit copies of Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) and Tribal Membership cards showing Choctaw descent. All Minor Membership cards must be updated
  • Submit a copy of your high school transcript, GED certificate or the latest college transcript, whichever applies
  • Must be attending an accredited college or university and working towards a minimum of an Associates Degree (We cannot help with Vo-Techs or Correspondence classes)
  • Students receiving a Grant are expected to earn a minimum of 12 hours per semester with a GPA of no less than 2.0
The Ciri Foundation
  • Post-secondary undergraduate and graduate studies
  • Education grants are offered for technical and vocational training
  • Scholarship and education grants are limited to eligible, qualified, and selected Alaska Native beneficiaries
Coastal Villages Region Fund
  • Deadline: May 31 or October 31
  • Must have resided in one of the Coastal Villages member communities and must be able to show proof of residency, and be a bona fide Alaska resident.
  • Must have been accepted into a relevant program of study at an approved/accredited institution preferably an Associate degree, Bachelors degree, or technical or vocational skill certification/licensing program.
  • Exhibit strong academic skills, or strong work performance, and be committed to completing their proposed program of study.
  • An interest in working for, or already be employed by, an organization in the Yukon-Kuskokwim region.
Colville Confederated Tribes
  • Deadline: April 1
  • Be an enrolled member of the Colville Confederated Tribes with a minimum 3.0 grade point average in the past three terms of high school or college
Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians
  • Deadline: June 30 (for Fall quarter)
  • Be an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians
  • Have a letter of acceptance for enrollment at an accredited college or university leading to a four or two year transferring degree program

Cowlitz Indian Tribe

  • Proof of Cowlitz enrollment is required to be eligible for this competition

Government Finance officers Association: Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship

 

  • Deadline: February 3
  • Be enrolled full- or part-time in an undergraduate or graduate public administration, accounting, finance, political science, economics, or business administration program
  • Be a citizen or a permanent resident of the United States or Canada
  • Have a recommendation by your academic advisor or by the dean of the graduate program (graduate students) or department chair (undergraduate students)
Headland Indian Health Careers Grants
  • American Indian (Native American) students planning to enter health careers and presently in their senior year of high school or freshman year of college are eligible to apply.
  • Students must have completed at least two years of algebra and a minimum of two science courses and maintained a 2.50 GPA (A=4.0)
  • Graduation from high school must be completed, and verification of acceptance to a college will be required prior to the beginning of the program.

Horace & Susie Revels Cayton Scholarship
  • Deadline: March 1
  • Minority status – African American, Asian American, Hispanic/Latino American, Native American, Pacific Islander
  • Interest and aptitude in public relations demonstrated by courses taken, activities and/or internships
  • Full-time sophomore or junior in the 2006-2007 academic year pursuing a career in public relations who will be a full-time junior or senior during the 2007-2008 academic year at a Washington state college or university (Washington state students attending college out-of-state also may apply if they graduated from a Washington high school or a parent currently lives in Washington state year-round.)

Incentive Grant Program
