Undergraduate Students

American Indian Student Association (AISA). The Student Association was founded in 1974 with the initial purpose of promoting the academic and social education of American Indian Students at UCI, providing a comfortable environment for Native American Students and faculty, and promoting awareness to the campus community.

Tribal Law. UCI Professor, Dr. Justin Richland is creator and director of the Hopi Customary Law Project and Nakwatsvewat; programs that develop and support innovative strategies to meet the alternative dispute resolution needs of Indian Nations. Dr. Richland is an advisor for Independent Study Courses in this area.

Native American Studies Minor. UCI Undergraduates have the opportunity to supplement their major course of study with a minor in American Indian Studies.

Scholarships. The American Indian Resource Program website will maintain a database of current scholarship opportunities available to students. (coming Dec 2007)
